During the ill fated first & only tour of the USA by Tyrannosaurus Rex. Interestingly their promoter had booked them gigs during the same weekend as Woodstock! Whoops! For a tour which was a 'disaster' becuase of Took's drug taking this track songs pretty darn fine!

ALBUMS
The unmixed recordings of the 'Unicorn' Album (very poor quality bootleg) show that Steve's vocals were 'mixed down' and 'mixed-out' for the finished albums! Check out the live recordings section (above) for examples of Tyrannosaurus Rex before Steve was 'Mixed down'! The French 'Salamanda Palaganda' 1968 is a particularly good example of Steve's harmony vocals! |

LIVE VIDEO CLIPS - TYRANNOSAURUS REX
By now Bolan fans will have no doubt have rushed off and bought the Double DVD of 'Born to Boogie'. There is one small piece of interest to Tookie/Tyrannosaurus Rex fans and that is a video of the duo performing 'Sara Crazy Child' from 1967. ENJOY! ;-)
VIDEO of Sara Crazy Child 3 Minutes 38 Seconds 640x480 - 19.9 meg. This version has 'added Took' in that we have, where possible 'zoomed in' on Took. We're afraid the video will only work if you visit in Internet Explorer. Sorry!
Screen Capture Gallery Twenty Five Screen Captures in Black & White (because the original film is in Black & White!).

The following three clips are from the 'Lost and Found' Video Volume one and represent three songs. Eastern Spell was recorded at Kempton Park Festival in August 1968. The original sound is not included. Originally 'Eastern Spell' had been over-dubbed by the video producer. We have replaced it with Debora - though it wasn't possible to lip-synch.
Both the 'Debora' (Kempton Park) and 'Salamanda Palaganda' (French Festival for French TV) are pretty good quality (especially for their age) and have some great shots of Tookie and his amazing bongo playing.
With Broadband becoming more popular we have included three 'weights' of video clip for each of the three clips. The files are 'Windows Media Player Video Files (.WMV). Sorry these videos cannot be viewed using Netscape or similar.
